Manfrotto is proud to receive the Technical Image Press Association’s (TIPA) 2010 Best Accessory Award for its Joystick Heads.
The TIPA Awards are recognized as the most coveted photo and imaging awards worldwide. The editors of 28 of the top photo magazines from nine European countries plus Canada, South Africa and the United States met in early April in New York City to select the best imaging products of 2010. Manfrotto’s innovative new Joystick Heads were selected as the “Best Accessory” due to their uniquely ergonomic design.
According to TIPA, “The latest Manfrotto joystick heads offer an ergonomic way of quickly unlocking, moving and blocking a camera, so the photographer can frame and reposition freely. The heads make full use of new technologies and materials to improve both design and technical specifications. They have been optimized to provide intuitive, fast operation, improved comfort and reduced weight.”
Manfrotto’s new Joystick Heads comprise two models, the 324RC2 and the 327RC2. Each is constructed from different materials and designed to meet different photographers’ requirements. The 324RC2 is constructed using Adapto, Manfrotto’s ultra-durable and lightweight technopolymer, optimized for compactness and transportability with a high-load capacity and reduced weight. The 327RC2 features a magnesium body developed with the most advanced casting technology, providing superior performance and durability, making it the ideal choice for advanced users with high-end and full frame cameras.
